BY VIRTUE OF POWERS vested in me, I, SIR
WILFRID THOMAS SOUTHORN, Knight Commander of the
Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Companion
of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Officer Administering the Government
and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong
and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same,
do by these presents appoint you WILLIAM HENRY BELL
ESQUIRE provisionally, and subject to His Majesty's
pleasure, to be temporarily an Unofficial Member of
the Legislative Council in the place of the Honourable
Mr. J.J. Paterson, who is temporarily absent from the
Colony.
GIVEN under my hand and the Public Seal of
the Colony, at Government House, Victoria, Hong Kong,
this 12th day of April, 1934.
